Varsity Men had a great season in 2017 bringing together a new group of young and talented swimmers. They placed 6th overall at WACC League Championships despite being one of the smaller teams in our League with 8 swimmers total. Each member of the team swam their best races of the year at Championships and all 3 relays received North Coast Section Consideration Times. The 200 Medley Relay, consisted of Brian Wu, Kieran Linnane, Aaron Wu, and Henry Saunders, came in 5th Place overall with a time of 1:49.79. The 400 Free Relay also came in 5th overall at WACC League, consisted of Kieran Linnane, Oscar Kim-Dangle, Aaron Wu, and Brian Wu, with a time of 1:36.25. The 200 Free Relay came in 6th overall and consisted of Kieran Linnane, Henry Saunders, Aaron Wu, and Brian Wu, with a time of 3:41.45.
The men’s team narrowly missed the cut-off times for North Coast but are excited for next season to come and hope to be at NCS in 2018. Coach Victoria is excited to return to the Piedmont pool for her second season as Head Coach in early February 2018.
