Varsity Women had an amazing season with 6 wins 3 losses in 2017 and placed 4th overall at WACC League Championships. Piedmont ladies had 3 relays and 2 individual swimmers qualify for North Coast Sections and placed 10th overall. The 200 Medley Relay received a CIF State Automatic Time of 1:50.08 coming in 8th place overall at NCS. The 200 Medley Relay, consisted of Casey Lane, Sasha Liu, Skyler Liu, and Annika Disney, went undefeated in regular season and was awarded All League honors. The 200 Free Relay and 400 Free relays swam their best races of the season at NCS and included Clara Feldman and Sarah Ramsdell.
Sophomore Sasha Liu received All American status for her 200 Individual Medley swim at NCS where she came in 2nd, placing her in the top 100 swimmers in the country in this event. She also received All American status for her 100 Breast swim at WACC Championships, where she came in 1st and broke the meet record with a time of 1:03.05.
Senior Skyler Liu took 4th place at NCS for her 200 Individual Medley event and broke the League meet record at WACC Championships in the 100 Butterfly where she came in 1st with a time of :55.40. We wish Skyler the best of luck as she embarks on her collegiate swimming season at Princeton University.
Coach Victoria is excited to return to the Piedmont pool for her second season as Head Coach in early February 2018.
